In a moving Christmas scene, stray puppies sought out shelter from the elements in an outdoor creche in the village of Neochori on Mount Pelion.

The adorable puppies kept warm and safe in the shelter of their creche, mirroring their human counterparts, Mary and Joseph.
While they stayed warm there for the night, it is unknown if the puppies were later picked up by an animal rescue or adopted.
Although this holiday season is quite unlike any in recent memory, as the pandemic has left many ill or far away from their loved ones, there are still moments of peace and serenity that remind us of the spirit of the holidays.

Greeks will still be under a strict lockdown throughout the holiday season, even on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. Gatherings limited to nine people from two families will be permitted, however, but the 10 PM to 5 AM curfew will still be in effect.
