Greece’s National Meteorological Service EMY issued a weather warning on Tuesday noon for November 19-21, 2019. Coming from the West, the new barometric low will bring heavy rainfalls and strong thunderstorms.

It will initially strike the Ionian Sea and western Greece and quickly move to the East and the South mainland. Occasional thunderstorms are forecast to hit also Attica and the city of Athens. South winds blowing with intensity up to 6-7 Beaufort.
Regions affected: Ionian islands, Epirus, western Sterea and western Peloponnese.
The weather phenomena are expected to weaken in North-West as of noon. Western, Central and gradually also East Macedonia as of noontime.
Thursday, Nov 21: Occasional rainfalls and thunderstorms in Central and East Macedonia, Thrace and
probably the islands of the northeast Aegean. As of the afternoon: South-West Peloponnese, western Crete, late at night the Cyclades islands, South Evia and East Sterea including Attica.
