The Ancient Theatre of Aptera in Chania, on the Greek Island of Crete (Kreta) will once again re-open after 17 centuries of thespian silence!

Following its restoration, this special monument on Greece’s largest island, on Friday, June 29 will host a dramatised narration of a rhapsody from Homer’s “Odyssey”.
The event is organised by the Chania Antiquities Ephorate.
Entrance to the performance will be freee, with the presentation of named coupons that will be available from June 18-25 at Chania Antiquities Ephorate.The event is scheduled to start at 8:30pm. Doors to site will open from 7:45-8:15pm.
